EVERY COOKIE HAS A STORY…

Mine begins with my grandmother, Helen.

In the late 1940’s, Helen found herself in a difficult marriage, but she was determined to build a better life for herself and her children. She began secretly baking cakes and selling them to local bakeries. She taught our family that strength isn’t always loud. Sometimes strength is quietly baking cakes late into the night believing that tomorrow can be better than today.

Moxie Bakes exists because one brave woman chose to trust herself. One cake at a time, she earned enough to take a chance and start over. That took incredible MOXIE! Helen spent the rest of her life independent, joyful, and surrounded by the family she loved. Her courage became part of our family story and eventually, the inspiration for mine.

Moxie Bakes is my way of honoring her legacy with gratitude for customers like you who are helping to keep her story alive. Every batch is made from scratch with premium ingredients and a whole lot of heart. My hope is that these cookies bring a little comfort, lots of joy, and maybe even become a part of your own family’s memories.
